This industry can stray into used car sales territory from time to time, and we went with Amber because we knew there was a real human we were dealing with. When we needed a quick pre-offer home inspection, she called her in contacts and made it happen in a timely manner. When we found the home we ended up buying, she helped us gauge what our maximum price should be and we felt no pressure from her to offer. Selling: What struck us about Amber when we initially made contact with her she was very strategic with what to improve and what to work on to get our existing home ready for sale. Other realtors had a 'don't worry it'll sell' attitude. She was interested in us getting a competitive price. When we contacted her in 2022, the real estate market had been doing crazy ups and downs, but she spoke knowledgeably using years and time periods to compare what our home may be work the following year when we knew interest rates with spike and demand was slightly unknown. She compared our house to other listings noting very specific things that differed from our home to the other sales in our neighborhood. When it came time to sell, she helped us with timing for the market and connected us with a great stager. Our home ended up selling before it even had a change to go on the market and sold above asking! We 100% chose the right Real Estate Agent with Amber! Amber was patient, so easy to deal with and very knowledgeable. Our sale was all decided last minute. We went to look for a place in Winnipeg on Wednesday (not thinking we would find one…but we did). By Thursday night, Amber made a point of coming all the way to Ste, Anne from Linden Woods…even though she was leaving for holidays that Saturday and…we weren’t 100% sure of selling. After talking to her and feeling so confident, we listed our house. Selling in a small town could take months as compared to the city. Our listing hit MLS at 1:30pm on January 14th and by 3:00pm, we had an offer. Our house SOLD WITHIN 2 HOURS OF LISTING!! We were absolutely ecstatic and shocked, to say the least. Amber was recommended to me through a colleague at my new job and she helped us purchase our first house in the middle of a pandemic. Because of travel restrictions and quarantine, we could not travel to the province before purchasing and she was incredibly patient and responsive to us and our situation. She always answered all of our questions and she seemed incredibly honest and genuine in our discussions. She was very thorough during the walk-throughs of houses, always showing us every little detail. I had heard some horror stories of friends and family feeling pressured by realtors, but Amber was always very respectful of our priorities and never pressured us on any listing we viewed - in fact, she would often bring our attention to details of why it would not be an appropriate property for our needs based on her in-person assessment (e.g., we told her wanted a quieter street, and she would point out that there was a busy road we did not know about right around the corner or high traffic on the street). I was amazed at how patient she was with us, because we made her go to A LOT of places for showings. In the end, we put down offers on two homes, and she was upfront and honest with her assessment of places while we tried to decide the best price to put down. She even told us when we were considering putting an offer higher than our comfort level that we should not feel pressured, and that other houses would come up, ones that met our criteria more, and that we should not go beyond what we are comfortable spending. This is exactly what we needed to hear so that we didn’t get swept away with purchasing a not-perfect (for us) home because of an intense market. In the end, we found our DREAM HOME which ended up being under our original budget, and I cannot believe how lucky we were to have gotten it. We put a lot of trust in Amber in the process, especially since we did it all remotely, and I honestly could not recommend her more highly. If you are looking for a detail-oriented, hard-working and professional realtor, I recommend Amber to anyone and everyone looking for a new home. We feel so lucky to have worked with her and I know that we would not have ended up with our dream home without her help.

The market while we were buying was pretty awful. Houses were going for 70+ grande over asking and was very disheartening. She would be honest if a house was not worth going way over our original budget as well so we likely avoided many duds. If it weren't for her we would never have found our house as it was originally over our listing price threshold. Forthright. My impression of residential real estate agents is very poor. I have bought and sold a number of properties and in every one of those transactions the agents lied to some degree. In talking about agents, my advice to friends was always, "assume some of what they are telling you isn't true." With Amber, if she didn't know an answer, she didn't make something up. She said she would try to find out and then followed through. Super refreshing. In a previous sale, the property wasn't selling and I decided to pull it off the market and rent it out. I think most agents would be upset about losing a potential commission. Not only was Amber supportive, but she allowed me to use the photos from the staging to use in the rental ad. That's a sign of someone who understands the value of relationships in business and is doing things the right way for the long-term.

What can I say? Amber from the beginning was not only helpful but consistently went far beyond her core role as an agent, from recommending and dealing with a staging company and handyman, lending some of her own air purifiers and artificial flowers, and generally dealing with me in a very patient and optimistic way, even though this could be called a challenging sale.
