Agent refuses to show his own listings if the clients have a realtor they are listing their own property with. Despite timing issues, despite the other realtor being fine with him showing the property. James is unprofessional and condescending on the phone and doesn't understand the dynamics of selling a rural property.

Reply: Typical buyer with no respect for peoples time. If you have an agent CALL THEM!! They need to earn their paycheque! The listing agent is only paid to represent the seller. Complete disrespect for a persons time to ask them to show you a house when you are going to purchase through your own agent. If your agent is out of town they will have someone covering for them. So once again...CALL YOUR AGENT! Reply: As a professional I have a duty to all my clients, both sellers and buyers. When I receive a call from the general public who is not a client and who wants to view a listing, I have a duty to ask them a number of questions not limited to but may include 1) are you currently working with another realtor? 2) are you qualified with a lender and if so what institution? 3) what is your current circumstance for wanting to view a this property? If the person is not a qualified buyer, or has no legitimate reason for seeing the property or already has a realtor, then of course I will not kick a seller client out of their home for that showing. It is sometimes difficult for some people to understand that just because they call a listing agent and want to see a house that they don't automatically get to...
