Don is affable and generally responds quickly, but that????s about it. He drove me around to look at a good number of houses, which I guess was nice. However, as far as real estate expertise, I don????t know if he has any. When I sought to rely on his knowledge to give me guidance as to whether an offer I was planning to make was reasonable or not, he would come back with things like: ????h, I????m sure they????ll be happy to get an offer.????During the offer/negotiation process, he merely acted as a messenger, providing no advice or helping to better understand/work things out with the seller.
For the inspection, Sibcy Cline steered me towards a company that missed a good number of defects (electrical outlets not working, damage to the siding, rotten wood, a leak), and Don reinforced this recommendation by saying this company ????sually does a nice job.????
When I contacted Don about some of these defects (which I found out about after the closing), he gave me a what-are-you-gonna-do, luck-of-the-draw, you-still-got-a-great-deal kind of roundabout answer. One thing is for sure, when he needed to, he was always there to make sure he got his commission.
