We hired Andy after finding him on Rate-My-Agent and reading the reviews. We were not disappointed in our decision. Professionally Andy represents everything you would expect from a real estate agent: he knows the history of neighbourhoods and homes; he is sufficiently versed in building systems and codes; he has a sharp eye to spot issues and point out certain advantages or disadvantages of a location, house type, or specific building element (structural, plumbing, electrical, etc.) While looking at homes, it was not below him to stick a flash light in a drain pipe checking a sewer backup valve, or in a tight closet looking for cracks in the foundation. Andy is an excellent communicator. He promptly responds to emails, texts and calls. We also appreciate his personality. He is a down-to-earth person with a great sense of humour. We shared a few good laughs while looking at houses or singing offers. As long as you are open to articulate your needs and limitations, he will take time to understand your them and adjust the “plan of attack” accordingly. Some people are looking for a “turn-key” recently renovated homes; we were looking for a house with, how Andy refers to it, “upswing potential”. Everyone has to stay within their budget. In our opinion, Andy has enough experience to see if a certain house was priced low or high, and approximately for how much it will sell. Even if your goal is to “get this house at all cost”, he will advise you what is the limit of this specific house value. If you still decide to “get carried away”, you will be making an informed decision. He is very open and honest, and you can definitely feel that he is on your side. We are getting ready to sell our existing house with him. Another review of Andy as a selling agent to follow.
