Literally told me by text on October 6th: “If we sign with them I will let you know”. She never got back to me despite the fact that I told her I gave my N9 notice. I will file a RECO asap about this experience, totally unprofessional. No phone calls from team leader, no apologies, just full of excuses blaming me for giving my N9 too soon.

“Thank you for being sorry, you made a mistake not following up. You have a customer paying you but you also have potential buyers/renters holding the line.
Im sure it won’t happen again, as soon as you hear N9, keep in mind someone is officially homeless, toddlerS that you have seen during the visit involved in that case.”

I’m sorry I didn’t notify you once the property was leased, as I said I would. I understand your frustration with that missed update.
For context, I represented the property owner. Although we had discussed proposed rental terms, you had indicated that you were not ready to sign while awaiting a decision about your current property. No lease was signed and I had not promised that the property would be held or guaranteed to you.
On October 6, you advised that you expected a neighbours’ report in 17 days and would proceed with this property if objections led you to abandon your variance application. I thanked you for the update and explained that another application was already being reviewed, adding that I would let you know if a lease was signed. You replied, “Got it, I understand. Keep in touch.”
The owner subsequently selected another applicant. When you contacted me on October 26 to proceed, the property had already been leased. My commitment to provide an update after signing did not mean the property was reserved pending your decision.
You had already given notice to your current landlord before our October 6 exchange. I learned of that decision after you had made it and I did not recommend or encourage you to do so.
Regarding my team leader, you requested her contact information, which I provided. You did not ask me to arrange for her to call you.
I regret not following through on the update I promised and wish you well in finding a suitable property.
