Really enjoyed working with Calista over the past 4 months. My husband and I just bought our first house in Canada and as we are new to the country (we landed here 7 months ago!), we were clean slates like a couple of baby immigrants; naive, hopeful and optimistic. Calista is warm, welcoming and very easy to get along with. She put us right at ease from our first meeting so we felt confident that we could trust her right away. She understood our circumstance and heard what we needed. Calista has been super patient too. For example, we knew we loved Kelowna and wanted to live somewhere around here, which is really vague, so as we became more familiar with the city, our needs and wants evolved with that too. Another example of Calista's patients is the fact that she answered all of our questions, no matter how many times she already explained, if we didn't retain something or didn't understand something, she was kind and patient enough to go over things again. Calista paid close attention to any changes in what we wanted and came through and responded to adjustments every time, for each of us as individuals, as well as together as a couple. Even when I've been a bit panicked and frantic and chose to view a house that did not meet our non-negotiables, she would call me out on that, and bring us back into alignment into what we needed. We were impressed too when she went the extra mile, when we were not available to see couple of houses by their deadline, Calista took it upon herself to do a guided video tour of houses which were both super thorough and detailed, even getting a sense of the street and the neighborhood. Calista has a great eye for creativity which I really appreciate because I'm not as able to visualize the potential of a room any differently to how it already is - she was able to point out potential modifications to spaces which is cool and inspiring. We put offers on 4 houses in total and Calista really supported and guided us through it each time. Calista was super transparent with her discussions with the listing agents and really batted for us to get a fair deal. We are so happy with the result that we have now and its even sweeter knowing that we did not need to stretch to the top of our budget, even though we were prepared to. This meant a lot to us because it is so wild to think of the difference in what we might have paid upfront as well as our potential mortgage repayments vs the reality of what did happen. That was all down to Calista's advocacy. This process has not been easy and we feel so lucky and grateful that we got to work with Calista.
