Colin Gareau was referred to me a month before my mother past. Of my many co-executor responsibilities, one was selling mom’s McClure St. condominium in Victoria, B C. Mom lived in her home for close to 30 years and though it was in good, clean condition, it looked dated. Colin knew the condo had to be staged and he went out of his way to get this done. To my surprise, he worked along side the home stager moving furniture, taking down curtains and he moved unwanted items to the condo’s lower level storage room. After closing he spent more time returning items from storage back to the condo so that family members could sort through mom’s belonging prior to closing. This is admirable but it’s important to add that I’m NOT a Canadian resident. I’ve lived in the Los Angeles area for 22 years. Over several trips to Victoria I was part of this sales process only to the extent that a visitor can be. Colin essentially carried the sale from beginning to end and that included working with the estate’s Victoria based attorney while keeping me in sync with the numerous showing and feedback from other realtors. Colin successfully found a purchaser and secured a sale price very close to our asking price. Colin’s hard work and dedication to this sale came as a blessing at this most difficult time. Over the past 40 years I’ve worked with many realtors in Toronto and vicinity as well as in the Los Angeles region and without exaggeration, Colin is the top real estate professional of the lot. It’s a shame that we as consumers can’t use realtors we like no matter where we live. I would have paid extra to have him represent me here in the United States across a number of real estate transactions. Thank you Colin for your efforts and remarkable results.
