My partner and I found Demetres through Instagram and were initially impressed by the way he showcased his approach to finding and selling properties. He advocated very strongly for us and somehow managed to get the price reduced substantially, even at points when it seemed like the developer wasn't willing to budge any further. He also negotiated additional improvements and inclusions, including having a wall removed to expand the space and getting curtains for the windows, and all at no additional cost to us. Throughout the process, he was extremely responsive and available, kept us informed, answered our many questions, and gave us honest opinions rather than simply telling us what we wanted to hear. He also encouraged us to think beyond whether we liked a property in the moment and consider things like condo fees, property taxes, future resale, and whether the property would continue to make sense for us down the road. That candidness was something we really appreciated. Most importantly, we genuinely felt that he was working in our interests. We ended up purchasing a home that probably would have been outside our budget in a stronger market, and his negotiation played a significant role in making it possible. Having seen firsthand how much more hands-off a previous real estate experience had been, the difference was striking. With Demetres, we didn't feel like we were doing all the work ourselves. He was proactive, strategic, warm, professional, and genuinely enjoyable to work with. I would absolutely recommend Demetres to anyone looking to buy a home, particularly a first-time buyer who wants someone who will actually advocate for them rather than simply facilitate transactions.
