We really appreciated Don and Jamie’s help in getting us setup in our new house in Halifax. They both outlined everything clearly and acted very professionally throughout the entire process. We had our four year old child with us when we were up for our house hunting trip and Don and Jamie able to work with all of us, They made the experience fun for our son too. He felt very involved in the decision-making process (he was the final arbiter of the “pancake test”…whether or not you could imagine yourself eating pancakes in this kitchen on a weekend morning). Having an additional set of parental eyes (watching out for our four year old) enabled his us to actually evaluate properties. Don and Jamie added much more value than just being another set of eyes. In negotiating prices and which large items that would/would not be left in the home, they were tireless in looking out for our the best interests. Don in particular was frank and honest about what would be possible regarding how we wanted to use our property. For example, I was not aware of Halifax-specific regulations on the use of property as an Air BnB. Another realtor could’ve let me continue believing that some of my ideas would work when they wouldn’t.
