But how many can have a written offer to purchase in your hand within six hours of the listing going active, and the final signed acceptance documents in your hands within eight hours? Now let me take a step back. I have always been a sceptic about the necessity to hire a realtor for the sale of your home. And if I choose to hire a realtor, it would be with one of those discount realtor firms out there.
What I didn’t consider in the equation is the importance of experience in tough negotiations that can make or break a deal. And that experience is more than just presenting you a written offer and calling it a day. The negotiations game is a little like baseball you have to be able to anticipate the pitch and know when to swing and when to take a ball. And let me tell you, in no uncertain terms ! I would be on Team Delaney 100% of the time. That lady has nerves of steel and every bit of advice that she gave me was spot on!
And it was just simply having her in your corner during the negotiations she was absolutely worth every dollar!
But another one of her other suggestions was home staging. Again I didn’t see the need or cared for the expense involved in home staging. But once again her instincts were on point. The MLS pictures made an already fabulous home look phenomenal !
I was completely wrong with the staging process and I now believe that it went a long way to selling my home in one day.
So in summary would I hire Donna Delaney and her team again to sell a home for me ? An unequivocal 100% YES, in a heartbeat!
And that’s from the biggest sceptic around.
