We contracted with Erin Saraceni to sell our home. We had interviewed 4 realtors who all determined similar listing price for our home. Three weeks after the listing she advised we drop our price by $100,000 dollars. I called her out on what I believed was an unacceptable practice. The conversation was contentious on both sides. Following that conversation we received little information or feedback from Erin. Our advertising brochures were not updated, we received no market analysis. We felt abandoned. With about a months to go in the contract, we asked to be let out of our contract. She would not unless we paid all her expenses so we advised we would not be renewing our contract with her. We were in contact with another realtor who was providing us market updates and suggesting ways to make our property more marketable. We received an offer that was $150,000.00 less than her original listing recommendation. We refused to counter. She pressured us to take the offer seriously. We would not. She then repeated stated she would recommend us taking the house off the market, lowering the price to the -$100,000 below the original recommendation. We refused. An offer came in at $ 50,000.00 below the original contract. We accepted. Our lawyer referred to this practice as buying a listing. I am unable to recommend Erin Saraceni.
