It is a fact that acquiring a mortgage on top of another mortgage is challenging in the current Canadian market. I sat down with Eve at her office back in November of 2019, and my first impression was that she was sharp! I could sense that she knew her trade. It may be surprising to some, but this isn’t always the case in the financial industry. Many mortgage brokers can really learn from Eve. Perhaps she could write a book on providing proper brokerage. I did myself why she was so different, and I realize that some people just put their life into it. They take their profession seriously. And on top of that, she is also on my side, assisting me to acquire the mortgage that I needed. My financial books could have been much cleaner, but it wasn’t. There were other priorities that took precedence. And Eve really went through my finances with me, and helped me cleaning it up so that it was presentable to the banks. She left no stones unturned. Everything was looked at, including CRA, bank statements, credit cards, and everything else, but without wasting time and energy. It was done in the most efficient way possible. As you could imagine, at the end, my financial books looked as clean as it ever was. I got to think, “This is nice! I am going to keep my books this clean all the time from now on!” She does have a way of strategizing. By working with her, some of that got rubbed onto me, and my financial IQ has gone way up, and my finances are in better position than before. I am also glad that Eve is so young—or at least she looks young, and I hope she will stay in business providing this very service for decades to come. We are set for the next 10 years, but I know I will be looking at another property then.
