Hamish Ross sold my condo in a very tough market in White Rock. His efforts and dedication were exceptional. After 31 years in administration where a good part of my job was to find talented and committed staff, his qualities rate among the best in my experience. He went above and beyond to assist in every way - and genuinely enjoyed doing it. But his untiring positive approach and encouragement were only exceeded by his solid, consistent efforts on my behalf. He is more concerned about his clients than his own agenda. . For example, when I had questions, he was always available by text or phone, often within minutes and definitely within a few hours, days, evenings and weekends. Together with his partner Natasha, he went beyond the call of duty to help me "stage" the condo to increase its marketability. With Hamish you not only get one person, but two and they are a formidable team. I was amazed at how they transformed the "look and feel" of a space that was outdated into something that had way more appeal. Staging services can be expensive. The two of them put in their own time to help me for the good of the sale. They even purchased new handles for the kitchen cupboards at their own expense. Hamish was indeed good for my pocket book in ways beyond the actual sale of the condo. He is connected to everybody!! When I wanted to replace the appliances to increase its sale value, he personally went with me to one of his friends at an appliance store to help me get the best deal. I saved $1,500 more than I would have payed without his help. On top of that, he contacted another one of his retired friends, who is a master of all trades, to hook up the appliances and redo the counter top so the stove would fit. His friend also fixed several small items in the condo that needed upgrading - all of this for $500 . These items together with the staging process, were completed at the end of December. The first offer (which was not acceptable) came in immediately in the first week of January. The second offer came just a few days later and was very acceptable. The sale completed on Saturday, February 15th and the new owners, who, by all reports, are a fine addition to the condominium strata, took possession February 16th. The expertise of Hamish and the extraordinary support I received from him were critical to my sale, not to mention the good relations and positive outcomes that accompanied it. In addition to all this he never stopped helping me after after we closed the sale. He stopped by on more than a few occasions to help me load heavy items into my van. In my need to catch the ferry before the long weekend, he negotiated with the two Notaries transacting the transfer of money, to ensure I would be able to receive the funds before the end of the business day on Friday. This would avoid paying for a hotel room over the long weekend to conclude the financial transaction. He was so successful that I received everything on the Thursday and was able to leave as planned on Friday without the stress of waiting until the last minute. I have known many excellent realtors in my days, and in fact several are friends. However, in all honesty I have to say that Hamish tops any I know in that field. When and if the profession ever comes under criticism in these areas, Hamish is the kind of individual the industry can hold up as an example of the excellence it strives for. I highly recommend Hamish and am so fortunate that I found the very best in the business.
