Our family’s experience with realtors Jasbir Parmar and Guneet Parmar during the sale of our parents’ home was deeply frustrating and concerning. When asked for their RECO registration numbers, which licensed real estate professionals normally provide upon request, those requests were not answered despite follow-up emails, which went ignored. Communication throughout the process was difficult and several questions from family members about the sale went unanswered. After posting a Google review describing the experience, I received communication threatening legal action over the review. This felt intimidating and discouraged open discussion of concerns about the transaction. The property was listed and sold very quickly. From the perspective of family members, the process appeared rushed, and we were concerned about whether enough time had been taken to consider alternatives or fully explain the situation to my elderly parents, despite me asking the realtors multiple times to halt the sale while this was being discussed within the family. I was also disappointed with the staging of the property. In my opinion the presentation looked minimal, the furnishings looked like they were purchased at a discount store, and the house looked extremely tacky, filled with fake plants and paintings. This did not reflect the effort we expected for marketing a home in Toronto. Future sellers should make sure they are comfortable with the pace of the process, ask detailed questions, and ensure they fully understand the strategy being used before agreeing to list or buy a home using these realtors.
