I was referred to Jessica by a friend of mine who purchased a home through her. I wanted to find a realtor through referral because there were so many realtors in the city who didn't have your best interest at heart and wanted to make a quick sale, especially with the real estate boom. She was very kind and knowledgeable when I first started corresponding with her, but at the first in-person meeting, she brought her partner Jason along. Initially I thought Jason was just going to show me the units and Jessica would still be helping me out with the purchase, but it turns out that Jessica actually is referring me to Jason (without explicitly telling me so). I believe this is because my budget was on the lower end ($450K for a condo) so maybe Jessica didn't want to personally spend her time on this. They assured me though that Jessica would be fully involved in the process, but this was actually not the case. Jason was nice, but not as knowledgeable and definitely not as experienced, and I felt like many of the properties that he took me to look at were not what I wanted. I was lucky that there was one property that did fit my requirements and we put an offer through, with conditions of looking at the strata documents. Jason assured me that we can review the strata documents and then ask the seller's agent any questions. I had a few questions that I wanted to clarify about the property, the depreciation report, and other strata things, but it seemed like Jason answered all of them, instead of referring them to the seller's agent. It actually felt like Jason was unsure about what he talked about, and some of the answers that he gave me were directly contradictory to what Jessica had told me friend earlier. I got the feeling that they wanted to make a quick sale. Also Jessica was not at all involved in the purchase process. Overall I probably wouldn't recommend Jessica unless she can help you personally. My friend spoke very highly of her, but I did not get the same positive experience.
