SOLD! And this was not going to be an easy sale... I'm not really sure where to begin.... And that's because there are a million plus one great things I could say about Jim Pilkington! I actually feel like because I am so effusive, I need to tone down my review, but effusive or not, my words of gratitude come from a place of complete honesty. My husband and daughter and I moved to Vancouver Island a couple of years ago and ultimately my mother came to the conclusion that the quality of life we were living was one that she wanted also. She decided that after losing her husband of 50 years, 6 years earlier, it was time for a change. And this was going to be a very very massive change. After having lived in the same home for 50 years and having raised her family in that home, this would be a major move to make. It was all so scary and overall intimidating beyond even her wildest fears. Enter, Jim. Jim was one of 5 names we provided to my mom to interview for the listing , and there was no doubt after the interview that he was "the one"! Once secured, Jim did his job beautifully with the brochure and the AI photos and the drone shots for the video etc etc. All the things one has come to expect from a realtor. Where the real difference came in was in the way Jim communicated, and his ability to explain everything that was so foreign to my mom in such a kind and patient way, without ever being patronizing with things that may seem simple and clear to most. He never once showed even the slightest hint of impatience with our true abundance of questions. Jim provided answers and solutions to some issues with the home that needed to be taken care of before it was listed and also helped when it came to downsizing....Something that was incredibly daunting to somebody who had been in a home for 50 years. I could honestly go on and on about Jim 's patience , demeanor, care, and professionalism and if anybody has any questions, please feel free to comment because I will engage! I can't say enough about this incredible realtor who helped in so many ways. We highly recommend Jim to anyone moving , and especially to those who have older parents who may not understand everything along this very daunting road. (And FYI, Jim actually sold my mom's home twice, yes twice, in less than 2 months! We had an accepted offer before this official sale, yet the buyer's financing fell through. Pretty impressive!!)
