We are currently working with Mr. Joel now. It is unusual in that I don't do reviews until we finish buying a unit. Am making the exception in this case.
This is our 2nd purchase. So not a super experience buyer. We will surely use Joel to sell our current one perhaps in 2 years.
I think the litmus test is this: do I feel and believe the realtor is looking out for my best interest. Malcolm Gladwell wrote a piece stating that often ... many realtors aren't slotted in this category.
I find Joel responsive either through a telephone call or text or email. Has over 30 years of industry experience. He is worldly and brings an air of leadership and respect when he shows up for a viewing.
Though I find 'honesty' refreshing in us humans but my default position in life is to scan for deception in others (as well as myself) through their words or actions. I found Joel honest in what he can do for us or what he cannot.
Another quality that Joel has is that he meets the client where they are at. Joel talks to us and find out things about our interests, my my wife (wolfie) do for work etc etc. I think all top realtor or top folks in any field ... know and practice this ... relational ... it is all about relationship and how to connect with people where they are at and know their outlooks, hopes, fears, and wants. He not speak to us (his clients) but he speak to the seller realtor (developers realtor). He probe them and use active listening and then joust and squeeze them for purposeful information. That's the differences between having a realtor who shows up and smile aka a body there and having a master realtor work the crowd and scan and evaluate the scene and scenario. And afterward advises and guides you.
Our first and only realtor before Joel is a very nice person. We wanted someone this time to be assertive and offensive and most of all - who looks out for our best interest.
So far we only looked at 2 condo units ... Popolo and Grafia (my wife calls them Mafia by mistake ... but she might not he far off from the Freudian slip there lol). We put in an offer and received a counter from one of them.
Also, I asked Joel for a mortgage broker referral and we are using his guy for this deal.
Will post update if any.
