Hi everyone, John was referred to my wife & I by a wonderful couple to whom we shall be forever grateful. Our situation my & I was an uncommon one. We had a house to sell, but also because we were moving overseas in a few weeks and needed someone we can trust a 100%. The home we loved so much & lived the greatest moments of our lives in. It was listed a first time for 3 months in the same year & did not sell. So it was a few weeks remaining prior to our departure date we called John, he came home an evening & we explained to John what the situation was. That first meeting that we thought was just going to be an introduction went on for 2.5hrs. John had right away understood our situation and the urgency. He left us that night with a short list of to do things he recommended and also the person/s he would recommend for the jobs at reasonable costs. One of them he even called right away in front of us to introduce us to the person. We were already feeling a big relief & a sense of satisfaction when John told us that what was most important for him is to help us selling our home & not the commission. Meanwhile, a private buyer had contacted us. The buyer was very serious with a very good offer. The only problem was he needed some time to get approved for a mortgage and unfortunately we couldn't afford waiting or leaving everything pending behind & go. So we called John & we met & we told him about the offer. His first reaction was happy to hear that we already have a client. He surprised us even more when he advised us with options that we could consider. John also offered to oversee & help with the legal docs, if that buyer was approved & the deal were to be closed. He ended this brief session by stupefying us when he told us he will do all of this at zero commission or only what his office would charge to allow him to help us with this deal. John had only one week after our departure to coordinate with the tradesperson to get our home ready to go live on MLS. The day before we left John had swung by the house to grab the keys & say goodbye. The morning we were leaving we went to meet the lawyers office John had recommended to introduce ourselves & take notes of how to proceed with the documents from overseas. The following week everything was ready, pictures, videos, cleaning. The house was spotless. John took care of absolutely everything during our absence and kept us updated of how the work was progressing. He stopped by the house to make sure everything was good & safe. We even video called a few times. Since it had then been a little more than a month that we talked on the price, we reassessed the listing price based on the current market trend and all the work that was done. We reached an agreement & the was listed on MLS the very next day. John kept us updated of number of showings & what kind of responses he was getting from the agents. We had lots of activity but it only took us one offer and the house was sold firm in a week at asking price - BAM!! We would recommend John Gaio to anyone simply because we think he is the best at what he does!
