On that 3rd visit we realized that the septic system was not a conventional style but a biofilter system since the property lot was too small for a conventional one. We called off the offer and apologized for having gone through so much work to get to that point. Laura’s response, “Never apologize”. We did our due diligence, and the home was not the right one for us and backing out was the right thing to do.
