Ron is the definition of overpromising and not delivering. My initial call with Ron was exciting he said confidently I could get approved for more than what a Brokerage had offered me. I gave him my information and again he confirmed he could get me 30K more than my initial lender. So I find a property and I put down an offer, this is where his true colors would shine through. I gave him all my info and we attempted to get approved, now for me if I got a flat no and this is why lets move on. I would be okay with that, but after I put my deposit down. Ron became hard to get a hold of, made excuses like: the systems down, I was off yesterday, I was waiting for the manager to get back to me that's why I didn't reach out to you. I had to extend my condition deadline and I eventually just gave up and got a second opinion. Before I went to another mortgage agent I actually reached out to another RBC agent, trying to switch as Ron didn't give a single fuck about my timeline. His colleague told him I was trying to get a hold of him and that's when he decided to call me back. Worst customer service experience I've ever had with RBC and I love banking with RBC. Ultimately there was some things lacking on my end which lead to me not getting approved, however these were basic things where if Ron was an expert would have easily caught and told me. I felt embarrassed, frustrated, and I spent so much time chasing him, my realtor as well. There is a Facebook thread of people with similar issues, I linked to this profile. I would never recommend him and I went out of my way to create this rate-my-agent profile so other won't have to waste their time.
