I had a very disappointing experience with this agent during my recent home purchase. To begin with, the agent was unavailable for the open house session, and his mother, Kathryn Toa, accompanied me instead. Unfortunately, she was on her phone about 80% of the time during the viewing and failed to inform me about a significant issue—the house had Poly-B Water Distribution Lines, which are known for their risk of leaking. This negligence was a major red flag. After purchasing the home, several issues arose: • TV wall mounts, which should have remained as fixtures, had been removed, leaving multiple holes in the walls. • No remote controls for the garage were provided. • The security alarm system was not working. • The washroom in the basement was extremely dirty. • The garage, attic, and basement were filled with a lot of garbage. When I raised these concerns, the agent simply asked me to write an email describing the issues, and all he did was forward it to the seller’s agent. Most of the issues were left unresolved for three months after the completion date. Because the agent never took the initiative to help me resolve any of the issues, I had to directly contact the seller’s agent myself to finally get things sorted out. If I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would. This agent’s lack of professionalism, poor communication, and failure to advocate on my behalf as his client made the entire process unnecessarily stressful.
