My husband and I used Scott and his team’s services for the second time around. The first time (in the peak sellers’ market time), we gave Scott a five star rating, but are trying to be very genuine in our response of our current four star review for our second time.
Scott understands the Kamloops’ real estate market very well and has an excellent reputation in the real estate community which is a major advantage. Where we felt he fell short this time, was in two main areas: 1) attention to detail and 2) communication regarding tight timelines.
When we first had our place listed, it had the incorrect number of bedrooms listed and there were some less than ideal photos posted. This negatively impacted the launch of our home sale as we had people interested, but then cancel when the information was later corrected. We also had to notify of this error which was disappointing. We recommend clients have an ability to review their home ad before anything goes live. This was not the case for us.
Secondly, there was an incident where we were texted that we had a deadline to sign a very important sale contract - but the text came about 40 mins before the deadline. This was very stressful because we had young kids to put to bed and resettle and if we happened to miss the text, it would have greatly impacted us. A courtesy in advance notice of a tight timeline would have been much appreciated.
Overall, we achieved our price goal with the sale of our home and are happy with Scott’s service, but felt it important to share where improvements could be made.
