As an agent i assume Its always nice to see families gathering their downpayment and getting to buy their first home to celebrate all of lifes special moments in. Or helping a small business owner purchasing their first storefront for a growing local buisness. That's an agents dream I'm sure. Unfortunately, in this world, that isnt always the case. And certainly not in ours, we would probably be a realtors nightmare. This has been a long time coming because this isn't a simple review to be told. In fact, it isn't a review. It is a part of our life. It is a part of our story. It is an integral reason me and my kids are finally hopeful, and at the beginning of our new book. And this is why we're thankful for Shirley and Erin from Exit Realty. We first met Shirley back in 2017. She knew my best friend, my childrens aunt as a matter of fact. And she never at all had met us prior to March 2017. And something tragic happened in our home. So tragic we couldn't return. Within moments of us deciding that we would never go back, my friend had hired Shirley for us,. To summarize, i only had to enter back into my tragic home one last time for paperwork. Shirley took care of everything. Shirley and her team gathered and sold all the things I said I didn't want, Shirley had cleaners, Shirley sold my car, Shirley redecorated, Shirley staged, Shirley found me a new home, all within a month. My only job was to sign on the dotted line, and with Shirley, and just a couple friends, I closed my eyes and let them lead the way. And im still processing Shirley's response and selflessness for my family, who were basically strangers to her. But we were happy, happy to be free of that burden at least, and start again. And Shirley found us that happiness. 6 years later, unbelievably, tragedy hit us again. 2023, we lost our home to a fire. And although we had full intentions of living back there and making it ours when it was ready, we decided to start our lives anew. And the moment we decided, we knew who to call. So we called Shirley. And that's when we met the amazing Erin, who is Shirley's partner at Exit. And throughout the process of us selling the home that we lost, but then made into our dream home, but decided to move on from, there were no questions asked, there were no judgments. Our time of selling was in December, and it's slow and the market is in no way profitable. But we heard no complaints, saw no lack of effort, and had no less support in both selling and buying a new home. In fact, when we made the decision to sell prior to spring they just worked harder, I put more on their plate, without intent of course. There was nothing but open mindedness, help, support, and generosity. Generosity you'd be hard fit to see in most of your family and friends. As you can imagine we were muddled and feeling displaced and out of sorts but we felt passionate about our home and about our moves and about our life experience. They didn't once miss a beat when our stress took over. It's almost as if they were right beside us, guiding us towards where we wanted to go, not where they wanted us to go, but where we wanted to go. And they showed us exactly what we needed to do in order to get there. Which is so rare as stated above, and you certainly dont find that in in someone you hire. You primarily find someone looking to do what they want to do. Money is top priority realistically for almost everything. In the end, the saying of "they went above and beyond" does not in any way summize this team, and this company that backs them. More aptly described, this team is your lifeline in guiding you through what is known as one of the most stressful and chaotic portions of a person's life, buying and selling. If you choose to make a move, for whatever reason, you'd not find a better team behind you.
