⭐ 1-Star Review — Sona SheikhPour
We worked with Sona SheikhPour while helping our daughter purchase her first home in Nova Scotia. Because our time frame was very tight, my husband and I relied heavily on Sona to help us find a suitable property and guide us through the purchase process.
Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing.
After the home inspection, we became concerned about several significant issues with the property. The roof now needs to be replaced immediately. We also discovered that the heat pump and HRV were extremely dirty and had not been properly maintained or cleaned.
What was especially concerning was what happened after the inspection. Sona told us that she had a private conversation with the seller's realtor immediately after the inspection. According to what Sona told us, the seller's realtor was aware of these issues. However, we were not informed about them.
We were also concerned that the property had previously been sold and then returned to the market. We questioned why this had happened, but we did not feel that we received adequate information or explanation about the property's history.
The condition of the property after closing was another major disappointment. The garbage and grass had not been cleaned up or removed from the property. Most concerning, we did not receive the key to the property until approximately three weeks after closing. The closing date was July 9, 2026.
We raised our concerns with Sona and subsequently with Falkwin Group. Unfortunately, we were also very disappointed with the brokerage's response. We did not feel that our concerns were properly acknowledged or taken seriously by the owner of the company.
This was our daughter's first home and a very significant financial commitment for our family. We understand that a realtor cannot guarantee that a property will be free of defects, and we also understand the importance of conducting an independent home inspection. However, we expected our realtor to communicate important information, advocate for our interests, and take our concerns seriously—particularly when significant issues arose immediately after the inspection and closing.
Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Sona SheikhPour to other home buyers, especially first-time buyers who may rely heavily on their realtor's guidance and professional judgment.
We hope our experience encourages other buyers to ask detailed questions, obtain thorough inspections, document everything, and independently verify important information before completing a purchase.
