Not impressed. Guaranteed me $1M for my house but listed it too low (with my protest based on my previous experiences with home selling/buying in all different types of markets over the past 30 years) and only got low offers (which I already knew would happen - my home was totally renovated and the replica of my house next door had sold for $1.2M). Details of the house listing were incorrect such as laminate floors throughout when it was solid high end new hardwood along with many other false details with no mention at all of the selling features such as the skylights, brand new glass doors, hot tub, enclosed front porch with heated floors and coat closet, basement apartment with separate entrance, custom master bedroom closets, walking distance to both the subway and GO stations...) . She offers free staging but used my own furniture and forced me to put the rest into storage at a huge expense to myself. The majority of my house had just been freshly painted and for the rest of it she demanded that I use her painter who she said would be faster but in fact held up the process for an entire week when my own painter would have been done before her's even started besides the fact my own painter would have charged me no more than $2k (keeping in mind the majority of the house was already painted) while her painter charged me $6k (and I had provided all of the paint to boot) and did a horrible job with getting paint on the floor, door knobs, on my live edge oak table, bathroom basin stone sink, and even on my toilet and missed painting a lot of the moldings around the floor and windows/doorways). Without my permission she took down my high end expensive light fixtures putting up cheap ones (like the ones you see in Home Depot for $20) and when I asked for my fixtures back was told they "lost" them (yes I'm sure they were lost in the renovator/handyman's home and put up there) and that they would have been sold with the house anyway to which I responded that I could have put cheap light fixtures up myself (for less than $75 including labor) and kept my high end expensive ones to install into my new home. Finally she forced me to use her cleaner rather than my own who charged me $500 for deep cleaning that wasn't done (my friends and I had already cleaned all of the insides of the cupboards but forgot to do one which this cleaner did not do and from what I could see only swept and mopped the floors - everything else was already cleaned!). I could have hired my own cleaner who would have done a much better job for at the most $200 which would have included washing the windows which their "deep cleaner" couldn't be bothered to do. When it came time for my purchase I had decided to buy a condo and put an offer on one that Teuta's assistant Janice showed me, however they did absolutely no research on the condo at all and due to their delay over giving me the combination to the lock box to obtain the key (neighbors who lived around the corner from me sold/bought a week before I did and they had the combination to the lock box with the key to their new property early that morning so they would have no issues with their move), I was unable to move in the day I had booked the elevator and had to wait until the Monday to contact the Management office when they reopened to obtain permission to move in on the Tuesday which cost me an additional $1,000 the movers charged me in storage fees (in addition to moving costs plus I also had to pay the storage unit company) as all of my possessions were in their truck. This was the most expensive sell/buy I have ever experienced costing me unbelievably well over $10k! They also never advised that a huge balcony project was underway and two weeks after I moved in I was locked out of my own balcony, had to disconnect the air conditioner and didn't have access again until December 15. As well, Teuta and her team were well aware that I planned on renting out the two additional bedrooms (I bought a 3 bedroom condo) and found out afterwards that I was only allowed to rent the additional bedrooms to family members!!! If I had known all of the above I never would have purchased this condo but again Teuta and her team did absolutely no homework which is their job to do (kind of like the TV commercial with the couple who bought a house without a Realtor and ended up beside a gang of bikers with the logo use a Realtor or this could happen to you while I say don't use Teuta or this "will" happen to you). From day 1 Teuta never treated me like a customer and it was always about the buyer (of my house) and on the other side when I was the buyer (of my condo) it was all about the seller, never me. I have bought/sold homes for over 30 years with 6 in total and never, ever have any of the Realtors I've dealt with over the years have treated me in this manner. The only reason why she is listed as #1 in East York is due to her lying to sellers convincing and guaranteeing them she can get a certain $ amount for their property, then she lists really, really low so of course she gets offers above the below market asking price and then convinces the seller that "this is the market" rather than being truthful from the get go. I wouldn't recommend Teuta to my worst enemy!
