When we started searching for a home, we weren’t even sure if we wanted to use an agent. My partner inquired about a house on which Zach was the listing agent. After some discussion, we realized that one wasn’t a fit for us and continued looking. Zach went out of his way to reach out to us about a similar listing a few days later. Though he had no prior obligation to us, he remembered and took into account our price range and preferred location (after just one brief message exchange). We ended up loving that home and put in our first offer. Zach guided us through that new and intimidating process, offering his informed opinion on offer amount and timing based on his experience and several comparables. We did miss out on that home (regretfully), but Zach showed a combination of expertise, accessibility, patience and genuine understanding that convinced us we needed to work with him further. He met with us at a coffee shop to better understand what we were looking for. He showed us a total of probably 10 houses over a few weeks. Some were at inconvenient times or at opposite ends of the city. No matter the day, time or location, he was always punctual and was thorough and diligent in pointing out small details around the homes that we may not have noticed. When he called us to say we lost out on another house, the disappointment in his voice was obvious. We considered taking a break from the house hunt for a while. Our confidence in Zach helped us continue on, and after an emotionally draining journey, we finally found an amazing place to call home. We felt we had gained a friend along the way, and someone we were ecstatic to share that moment with. Zach struck the perfect balance between supportiveness and assertiveness. We never felt he was pressuring us to make any particular decision, but he was always available when we needed him (even if he was at a wedding). Zach told us from the start that he had only recently begun his career in real estate. If our experience was any indication, he has a bright future ahead of him in the Sudbury market. Any prospective buyers or sellers would be lucky to have such a great realtor (and person) on their side.
