Ronan O'Sullivan and Jenny Stoltz were a great team. They were reassuring in a stagnant market and managed to get us a good price. They worked hard for us and came to Mom's new home to meet with us several times because it was difficult for Mom to go to them and also doesn't do computers. I had a great experience with Ronan. He helped me narrow down my wants vs my needs and once he knew what I was looking for he was on the ball at showing me the right houses. I didn't feel pressured towards considering a house that wasn't right for me, and a few times Ronan persuaded me that a house I was interested in maybe wasn't a great fit and that I should maybe keep looking. Ronan was very knowledgeable with current and older building techniques, so he was able to point out possible trouble spots that could lead to problems down the road. If I had to describe Ronan in one word, it would be outstanding. Ronan is by far the most professional, good humored and caring realtor I have ever met. (I had a family full of realtors so I know what I am looking for). I have worked with Ronan for 3 real estate transactions. Purchasing my first home, selling my mother’s townhouse when she passed away and most recently selling my home. Buying and selling homes is a huge step and can be very intimidating. Ronan is there for every step of the way, explains everything and makes sure you understand the process and are comfortable. He has answered any questions I have had (which have been plenty over the years, and most often nothing to do with selling or buying) and has never hesitated to get information, offer advice and has always gone above and beyond. Ronan has an honesty and integrity about him that is rare in this world today. He is never pushy and will not encourage you into a home just to make it happen. He encourages you and educates you along the way to finding the home that is right for you. I have worked with Ronan, Brenda and Theresa and found them to stand head and shoulders above the rest. Once he had our signatures on the contract his service seemed to be over. He did not show up to hand over our house to the new owners, his clients also. We were desperately searching for a new home, no help from Ronan. I definitely cannot reommend him. - Helmut Maneth
Reply: Helmut. I am very disappointed to hear this. Your situation was totally unique. Firstly, you used to be a very experienced realtor. I sold your neighbours townhome in a couple of days for an excellent price and you contacted me to list your home. I brought you a private buyer right away who paid you want you asked. You were delighted you did not have to list your home. I even arranged an extended time for possession to give you time to find a new home. As you used to be a realtor you were completely conversant in the process and assured me you were completely comfortable. I did not visit when you met the buyers as you were in direct communication many times organizing the sale of furniture and having social visits. You had even given the buyers the keys in advance. You told me not to look for other properties for you as you only wanted to purchase in a specific complex. I offered to write to everyone in the complex and you said not to bother as you had already left flyers . You eventually bought in Sooke when you said you were not interested in that area. Sorry Helmut but your comments are neither fair nor accurate. As for not being there to hand over keys - you were dealing with them directly and knew I was going on vacation. You even asked me to come visit you in your new home - why would you invite me if you were not happy?
