He has a lot of knowledge about what to look for structurally when looking at a house (foundations, wiring, pipes, roofs etc.), the typical issues that come up depending on the year of the house, and which issues may be flagged by insurance etc. We learned a lot from him while touring houses and felt comfortable with our purchase because we now knew what potential problems to look for. Derek was very quick to respond to emails, calls or texts, and was very patient during the many houses we looked at and zillion questions we had. He was also great about suggesting reliable people to meet with about mortgage options and made it all feel as effortless as possible. It has been almost two years since we’ve bought our house and Derek still checks in from time to time to see how we are doing and how everything is with the house.
