Derek is such a great agent. He has a lot of knowledge about what to look for structurally when looking at a house (foundations, wiring, pipes, roofs etc.), the typical issues that come up depending on the year of the house, and which issues may be flagged by insurance etc. We learned a lot from him while touring houses and felt comfortable with our purchase because we now knew what potential problems to look for. Derek was very quick to respond to emails, calls or texts, and was very patient during the many houses we looked at and zillion questions we had. He was also great about suggesting reliable people to meet with about mortgage options and made it all feel as effortless as possible. It has been almost two years since we’ve bought our house and Derek still checks in from time to time to see how we are doing and how everything is with the house. Derek was an outstanding real estate agent. I have dealt with a few in my time and Derek stands head and shoulders above the rest. My wife and I were moving from BC to Manitoba and had been on the search for a property for several months prior to moving. Derek took care of us the entire time without question. He was very patient with us in our search even going so far as to take some relatives, who were visiting Winnipeg, out to view some properties on our 'wish list'. When I arrived in Winnipeg for work he took me out a couple of times to view properties and eventually I was able to find the one. What I love first about Derek was he is a great family man. He takes these values and applies them to his job. For example he was very dedicated to me and completely focused on what I was looking for.
