Kirk was our realtor as we were trying to buy our first home in a complex situation. We were living in another province, during the pandemic, we had a limited budget, and were looking for a very particular type of property in a limited geographic area. Kirk came though with great communication, making the process super straightforward. He made us feel comfortable the whole time, and got us the biggest property we had seen in that price point, making us the winners of a 14 person bidding war at a great price (after the house was on the market for only 1 day). Kirk is detail oriented, knows his regulations well, and has great insight into how to negotiate during bidding wars (emphasis on this last point because we really couldn’t have done this without him!). He puts in effort to make sure you see the houses you’re interested in (even during a windstorm!) and will give you his honest advice (even if it’s not what you want to hear but need to hear). He never once pressured us to submit a price we were not comfortable with and he identified possible concerns with homes, while we had our rose coloured glasses on. His experience with investment properties or homes that have renters in them helped us be informed and protected as we were doing our search. He also works with a great network of people around him, and though we didn’t get to work with the rest of the Fournier team, his recommendation of mortgage advisor was one of the main reasons we were able to make all of this happen so quickly.
