William and his clients approached me to rent my condo online. At the time, I had another application on hand and needed to decide between the two. William acted as the spokesperson for his clients and, to be competitive, offered to pay three months' rent in advance. After reviewing and fully signing the contract, they missed the payment deadline for the initial deposit. They then requested an additional day, claiming they needed more time to transfer funds from Asia to Canada. This happened three more times. Later, they texted me, saying they had found another place. It became clear that they had lied to keep my condo as a backup, preventing me from showing it to others during this period. Fortunately, when I contacted the BC Tenancy Branch, they informed me that because the contract was fully signed, their actions constituted a breach of contract. I notified them of this via text and phone, but they have since gone silent and have not responded. This entire experience highlights their poor ethics, terrible communication, and blatant breach of contract, which is absolutely unacceptable. They will soon hear from the government regarding the breach.
