We asked her to give us an appraisal and were also looking to buy another place. We then requested an appraisal from another real estate agent on Gabriola Island, this agent gave us an appraisal $100,000.00 more than J. West. We then discovered although she told us she was soon to retire, we found out B.C. real estate commission was investigating her . She quit to have the investigation stopped. We did sell with the other agent and also bought through the same agent. - Daniel Gray

I asked her about 2 private owner sales, she ran both houses down. Stating real estate agents on Gabriola will all run down private sales. I then went to see another agent and found that not to be true. Warning to others check carefully when using a real estate agent on Gabriola Island. - Hugh McFarlane
