I had bought a house from this agent. She told me the heating bill monthly budget was $80. I stayed in the house for a few years and quickly realized that this house had almost zero insulation. I was paying $250/monthly from May to October. I had to gut the basement and putting insulation in the attic. She recommended me a house appraiser who did advise me of low insulation and old wiring. The appraiser under estimated all these costs when asked. $200 for wall insulation, which ended up being 500. Attic insulation-$200 which ended up costing $600. Blow-in wall insulation and duct cleaning-$600. I found out later, that blowing in wall insulation can be harmful to your health. Electrical wiring and new panel needed. Estimator told me $1000(wiring and panel). Found out when I went to get house insurance, they told me, I may not be insured in the future, if I didn’t get this wiring and panel fixed. $2000(wiring)and $1000(new panel). I believe that the appraiser and her were in on it together to sell this home. Let’s stand together Winnipeg and get these agents off the market. Stop using them as reputable agents, as they are only interested in their bottom dollar. - Gweneth
