This was my first time purchasing a home and it could not have been a better experience. Before looking at homes, we met with Mark and had the opportunity to discuss every aspect of a home that was important to us. The advise and information provided made it clear that we were in good and experienced hands. He made this initially overwhelming idea of purchasing a home, a really fun experience. Mark sent us plenty of options that fit our "ideal" home, and also worked with us when we found options that we wanted to see as well. He was accommodating and worked around our schedule, and because of this we never had to miss a home showing. While looking at homes, he never tried to push any sales. He went above and beyond, where he would examine the homes during the showings and inform us of any flaws in the home that we did not notice, but could have cost us thousands to repair in the future. When the time came to purchasing the home, Mark was prompt, walked us through every aspect of the closing, and kept us up to date as any new information would develop. He even introduced us to an excellent lawyer when we mentioned that we didn't have one. Mark is hard working, respectful, intelligent, and clearly passionate about the work he does. He always comes with a positive attitude, and has a comedic nature to him that had us laughing often. It was always a good time going to home showings with Mark, and looking back, we are 100% confident in saying that we would not have had a better time with anybody else. We discovered a condo property that we thought we might like to live in and connected with Mark to view a second time. Mark accompanied us for a second viewing so that he could give us an independent opinion on the property. Mark demonstrated a thorough knowledge of issues to be aware of and look for when considering a high rise condo dwelling. He also thoroughly briefed us as to all rights and obligations of condo ownership prior to our proceeding with the purchase. Additionally, Mark arranged for and accompanied us on viewings of similar available options in the neighbourhood so as we could compare and contrast options. This really helped put us in our comfort zone prior to the purchase. Mark is the best realtor we have ever had the pleasure of working with. We met him when looking at a house 5 months before we planned on buying and he was kind enough to remember to message us 5 months later. We were so impressed that he remembered us after all of that time and such a short meeting. Through the process of looking for a home Mark was supportive, patient, professional, humorous, and kind. He took the time to explain everything to us, to fax us papers and go through documents over the phone when we lived out of town. He was always quick to call us with updates, and instantly replied to texts and emails. When looking at houses Mark's experience and intelligence was very valuable. He was always on time, prepared with sheets, and was quick to point out flaws or minor things we missed. We were so pleased with how he remembered every detail of things we liked, disliked, and things we spoke about having planned for the future, using that information to help us navigate which homes would be best for our family. Mark knew when to step back and let us look at our pace, and let us speak our own opinions before giving us his advice. Personally we decided to go with a new-build home instead of a used home, through no fault of Mark's- it was the route we wanted to go. However, even as we advised him of that he was so supportive and made sure we understood how buying a new house worked. Above all, our favorite part of working with Mark was his positivity and humor, he was always quick to make a joke or join in on our banter, which we loved.
