I don't typically write reviews, but I had such a great experience with Paul Shanahan on the purchase of my first home (and the sale and purchase of the next one!) that I felt strongly compelled to post this. I cannot express enough how grateful I am to Paul for his incredible guidance throughout the entire process - especially when it came to buying our first home. From the beginning, Paul's expertise, communication style, and his honesty really stood out to my partner and me. Paul's knowledge of the market was also really impressive. He had a deep understanding of the neighborhoods, property values, and trends, which was so valuable (and reassuring!) as a first- and second-time homebuyers. His insights helped us both feel better educated throughout the process but also confident about our decisions. For us, what really set Paul apart was his strong communication skills. He always kept us informed throughout the process - answering our emails and texts with speed and detail. Real estate is complex and changing, so it was great to work with someone who navigated our concerns and answered every question - no matter how silly. When it came to price negotiations, again Paul was there to help us navigate the process - ensuring we got the best price possible while securing the homes we had fallen in love with. In addition, Paul went above and beyond by helping us find a reliable lawyer to work with. This was a game-changer, as we were both overwhelmed with the thought of finding good (and well-priced) legal representation. Finally, what we liked best about working with Paul is his personable nature. We felt that he actually cared about our needs and took the time to understand what we were looking for. We never felt rushed with him, and always had an enjoyable time chatting (and laughing) as we searched for the perfect home. Do not deal with Paul for any reason. He will go to any length to make a sale, even purposely destroying the hopes & dreams of a young couple. He will lie, not only to his own client as the buyer, but also to the seller regarding the same property. He is a disgrace to the profession. For some reason, I cannot now find the terrible ratings that I read about him from his other clients. - Joe Woodall
