I purchased a home with the help of Shawn in April 2020. Shawn is very easy to work with and added a lot of value to my search for a home. He provided valuable information regarding the entire process. At one time I considered not hiring a realtor, but after working with Shawn, I realized that would have been a big mistake in terms of helping to find the right home, navigating the process, negotiations and going through inspection. Shawn also has a construction background as well which was invaluable. I purchased a home many years prior with another realtor, and didn't realize home much of an asset that experience was. Shawn was able to pick up on many things that I wouldn't have otherwise been able to for each home. My goal in purchasing a home was to finish a basement upon purchase including installing a theater room. For each home we looked at, Shawn was able to detail how a basement could be finished for each home and if it would work for my plans. I was surprised how many basements were not actually suitable based on the existing layout which I wouldn't have been able to figure out myself (and I am an engineer). We ended up purchasing a home and finished the basement right after purchase (finished within a few months). Shawn ended up assisting with design and contractor management (an extra service he provides to select clients). The basement looks awesome and I got it done at a cost far less than what I would have paid if I were to have went through a full service contractor. Overall, I am really happy with our new home, the price we paid, our new basement and I found that Shawn supported me through the entire process.
