Property Transaction in London, ON | Sep 2021
Honestly, she is debatably the WORST landlord I’ve ever had to deal with. She does not know how to communicate via email in any professional manner. She includes unnecessary amounts of all caps, the wording/phrasing of anything is incorrect and simply does not know email professionalism in terms of punctuation and grammar. I wonder if she treats her home buying clients like this too. First red flag, there were multiple errors on the lease. Either typos or incorrect address etc and I’ve had to send it back to ensure the document was correct. She complained that I had sent it back multiple times when she could have just ensured the document was correct before sending it to me for signing. I moved in mid September and I’m a student. Instead of providing me with a prorated rent for the days that I will be living there she charged me for the entire month. Her response ‘We do NOT do prorated rent.... No matter when you move in during the month just like you can not move in prior to the first of a month’. Any sound and reasonable person would have made the appropriate adjustment. They had provided us with a bedroom key and a front door key while there is a keypad on the front door. There was an unnecessary amount of email communication to request the keypad code to front door of the house her 5 tenants will be living at. There was no sound reasoning why she was unwilling to provide the code besides ‘there is NO shared key code for the front door You have 2 house keys, one for bedroom and one for front door’. With the help of her son Craig, we were able to secure a code to enter/exit the house quickly and safely without the unnecessary use of keys. She installed new kitchen cupboards and did not put handles on them so her solution is ‘use your foot open, at the bottom, as i forgot the handels, next trip, so sorry’. It has been a few weeks and there are still no handles. This has her response ‘The cupboard handles are not a priority at the moment but i will let you know when that will happen’ which likely means that it will not happen, ever. If given the opportunity, STAY AWAY FROM HER/CRAIG. They use the same email to communicate so you never know who is replying to the emails. They do not care about the welfare of their clients and will likely find a way to overcharge you. As soon as this lease is done in April 2022 I would like to fully wash my hands of them and this experience. This is by far the worst renting experience and by far the worst landlords I’ve ever had to deal with. Stay clear of them for the sake of your sanity - Tyrel O

Dealt with her once. She was very dishonest and unprofessional. Stay away from her. She will not return your calls and answer them. Do not use her. Use someone, anyone else. - Linda James

This agent is a bully and a thug. She bought the house I was living in and INSTANTLY started to threaten us with eviction. In fear my roommates who are here on study permits complied and cleaned the house. Then she jacked up our rent by 30%. Then demanded that we provide her with our room keys. Or she would hire a locksmith to change our locks and have us pay for them. She moved our fridge downstairs so that we had to go all the way downstairs to get food and bring it upstairs to eat. She has turned our lives into a living hell. So she could evict us and sell our house. - James Bonnard
Stay clear. Save yourself a lot of grief. Posted offers, multiple attempts to communicate and she just ignores you. Wasting your time. Google her. See for yourself. Don't take my word for it. - James
