As a landlord once worked with a agent from Tracy Arnett Realty Ltd for bring tenants to my property, I had very unhappy experience with it. We signed a lease agreement with him and paid half of month rent + HST as commission, which allowed his clients (future tenants) to store some items before the move-in date on April 1st, 2019. In the agreement, the clause for clients’ storing items in our property before move-in date has hidden tricks, which the agent knew or should know, but I didn’t realized it. The clause allows his clients move in their furniture with what ever amount, and occupy our entire house, although we are expecting his clients (future tenants) to store items in our garage. About one and half months before the move-in date, the agent’s clients (future tenants) brought a big U-Haul truck full of items, and loaded into my property. Their furniture or items occupied the entire house, including garage, basement, kitchen, living room, dinning room, all bedroom rooms, hallways, and even outside space beside the fence close to the air conditioner. The living room are in a completely layout state with sofas, the dining room are in a fully layout state with dinning tables and chairs, the kitchen cabinets are filled with staff. The agent's clients also damaged my property when move-in their furniture and claimed that they are not aware of any damages to my property. This is not just storing items in my property! This is a complete move-in! What tricks the agent is playing for their clients!! I am not sure what will happen during the actually lease period. - Xuejie Qin
