Born in Ottawa at Civic Hospital, I’ve spent my entire childhood and teenage years in Chelsea, Quebec initially and then in the Côte d’Azur neighborhood in Gatineau. From a very young age, I was very interested if not obsessed with cars and I was pretty gifted in drawing and painting. So of course, my childhood dream was to become a car designer. Which eventually lead me to join the Canadian Forces doing my degree in Mechanical Engineer through the Regular Officer Training Program at the Royal Military College of Canada. This was in hopes of redirecting my career in the “car industry” at some point in time following graduation. This didn’t happen at all (although I was admitted in strongly considered the Industrial Design program at the Université de Montréal) and I ended up spending the following nine years in various postings across Canada, serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force as an Aerospace Engineer. It was a pretty exciting first career, but in 2015, I decided to pursue a career that would more fully complement my initial aspirations in visual arts through architecture, interior design and interpersonal interactions, by completing the Real Estate Salesperson education program with the OREA College. My very good friend Jeremy Spilkin had already become a real estate agent many years before and of course, I immediately became a part of the National Military Relocation Network; an organization he had founded dedicated to helping former colleagues relocate in the National Capital Region. As a native of this particular area, I was a natural fit for him in helping former comrades and colleagues with their move especially since most military officers and non-commission members end up at some point in the career in Gatineau or Ottawa (like I was) if not for the rest of their career. In late 2016, I discovered by pure coincidence Engel & Völkers online. I immediately fell in love with the brand which was in every way, shape and form the equivalent of a well-made European car. By that, I mean esthetically pleasing to the eyes, high performance, exclusive, well-made & the fruit of passion. A few months later, I joined esteemed real estate brokerage Engel & Völkers Ottawa Central and never looked back. Although I didn’t get to become a car designer, real estate allows me to find pleasure in all aspects of architecture and design ever so present in my daily profession, as well as meeting new and interesting people every day and staying in touch with military friends and acquaintances. In my free time, I fuel the artist in me by take painting courses, following piano lessons and visiting art galleries here, in Montreal, Quebec and Toronto. I also like cycling in the Gatineau hills and along the Ottawa River, skating on the Rideau Canal, garage league hockey and rowing.
