My wife and I invited Ms. Starnes to visit us as we were selecting a realtor to use in selling our house in July 2004. She was one of three we visited with. Only Ms. Starnes responded so favorably to our house and our prospects. We selected her immediately after our initial meeting. She got the wheels in motion to have our house and property photographed and videotaped the very next day (since the weather forecast was favorable). Those photos were converted to first class brochures and the video footage was used to create attractive videoclips. We were very pleased that we hired Rachelle and her associates. We hired her after another real estate agent had failed to sell our house during the preceding 6 month period. Rachelle had a vision for marketing our house as a mid-century modern home, and made many suggestions that helped make the house attractive and marketable. The online marketing and summary marketing booklet were superbly done. She and her colleagues held numerous open houses and worked very hard at selling the property. They were successful at finding the right buyer for the house. We talked to several other real estate agents before signing with Rachelle. All of the others viewed our house as a tear-down, and suggested lower asking prices. Rachelle saw the value of finding a buyer who was interested in the existing house, and as a result we received a higher price than we would have got using one of the other agents. Rachelle apparently shared some of the money she received from the sale with the real estate agent who had listed the house previously. We don’t know the details of that transaction, but it appeared to be a very generous thing to do. We highly recommend Rachelle to anyone looking to sell their house. One suggestion regarding communication. There were 3 of us, including our adult daughter, as home owners, and Rachelle and her colleagues on the sales team. There were some messages that were sent by email or as texts from members of the sales team to only 1 or 2 of the home owners, with the other 1 or two home owners unaware of the communications. A better plan would have been to include all interested parties in all communications (perhaps as a Whatsapp Group or as an email group that included all relevant parties). - Kevin Root
