A testimonial for Rimpy, My wife and I have experience with purchasing and selling homes but on this occasion we were looking for a new home with a laneway house in Vancouver and we were fortunate enough to meet Rimpy at an open house. She was professional, knowledgeable and very personable which made things that much easier for us. After the initial meeting, Rimpy changed our way of thinking when it comes to real estate as she was able to propose alternatives to having to sell our current home prior to purchasing, a strategy we never even thought of or would’ve even considered had it not been for speaking with her. After a few viewings we decided to write an offer on a home and during the negotiations, it was clear that her priorities are her clients and their best interests at all times. It was a house in an area that we really loved and we were willing to pay close to the asking price for it but when negotiations came to a stall due to the builders unwillingness to repair deficiencies and asking for a higher price from us because he knew we loved the home, Rimpy was always upfront with us about the good and the bad and advised us to walk away from the deal because of how she saw what was happening and didn’t want our family to be taken advantage of and swindled to pay more for less. We put our trust into her and agreed with her insight and walked away from that deal. A few months later we found a home that was comparable and even better to the first home and Rimpy was able to close the deal quickly at a much lower price than asking even when compared to the other home! Because of Rimpy we were able to purchase our beautiful dream home with everything we wanted and needed with substantial savings on the purchase price!!! If there was only a few things that went wrong I would understand as that can happen but we had one thing after another after another . She was the selling agent in our transaction. She never checked the house before we moved in. The house was filthy , even though cleaners came in they did an absolute joke of a job. Then it took days for us to get them back so our whole move in was stalled while we waited on them. This was also not checked during a Pandemic ! How safe is that for us as the buyers when who knows how many people were in the house . There was garbage left in the garage , a massive bag and contained broken glass. She didn’t even bother to come back to get her sign off our front lawn, I had to dispose of it . They tucked broken pieces of the door blind up and closed the blind so when I opened up the blind they all fell out , and now I have to dispose of it . This all should of been checked and dealt with before I got my keys . They didn’t give us the alarm code then ignored my request for it which lead to it going off at 9 30 pm and me frantic trying to figure out how to turn it off . The owner had preset it and I had no way to turn it off . And then there was an amendment missed that the seller owes us money and we are now two weeks after possession and she is now ignoring my realtors constant calls so this can be resolved. Overall a lazy and incompetent realtor . Would NEVER buy a home that she represents again. - Brittany Cardle
