Amber was recommended to me through a colleague at my new job and she helped us purchase our first house in the middle of a pandemic. Because of travel restrictions and quarantine, we could not travel to the province before purchasing and she was incredibly patient and responsive to us and our situation. She always answered all of our questions and she seemed incredibly honest and genuine in our discussions. She was very thorough during the walk-throughs of houses, always showing us every little detail. I had heard some horror stories of friends and family feeling pressured by realtors, but Amber was always very respectful of our priorities and never pressured us on any listing we viewed - in fact, she would often bring our attention to details of why it would not be an appropriate property for our needs based on her in-person assessment (e.g., we told her wanted a quieter street, and she would point out that there was a busy road we did not know about right around the corner or high traffic on the street). I was amazed at how patient she was with us, because we made her go to A LOT of places for showings. In the end, we put down offers on two homes, and she was upfront and honest with her assessment of places while we tried to decide the best price to put down. She even told us when we were considering putting an offer higher than our comfort level that we should not feel pressured, and that other houses would come up, ones that met our criteria more, and that we should not go beyond what we are comfortable spending. This is exactly what we needed to hear so that we didn’t get swept away with purchasing a not-perfect (for us) home because of an intense market. In the end, we found our DREAM HOME which ended up being under our original budget, and I cannot believe how lucky we were to have gotten it. We put a lot of trust in Amber in the process, especially since we did it all remotely, and I honestly could not recommend her more highly. If you are looking for a detail-oriented, hard-working and professional realtor, I recommend Amber to anyone and everyone looking for a new home.
