We wanted to buy an apartment in Greater Victoria to move from Montreal and join our son and his family who lives in Saanich. We had a short budget and were looking for a condo in a good location, 2 bedrooms, good natural light, in-suite laundry, low strata fee ... Our criteria resulted in viewing more than 20 apartments, where my son and daughter-in-law visited each property and at the same time showed the property to us by on-line video chats. Anytime that we requested a visit from Laurie, she was very responsive and made it happen as quickly as possible. Her friendly and kind manner for all the visits were the same as the first one, very supportive and encouraging. She was very knowledgeable and fair to point out both positive and negative aspects of each condo. I have seen some realtor agents who just elaborate about positive aspects of an apartment and sacrifice the truth of mentioning the negative aspects of the apartment only because they want to speed up the process and reach to their commission, but that was not the case for Laurie. She is truly a professional realtor with a high level of integrity. I have also seen realtor agents that only set up an automatic system for the client to receive new properties listed in the last 24 hours but Laurie, in addition to setting up her very useful website, was also actively involved in searching, finding and suggesting apartments to us. Even when a good apartment had a conditional accepted offer, she paid attention if the condition was not met and immediately informed us to be the first to make our offer. Anyways, due to high criteria that we had, we needed to visit many properties. I believe we had a lot of work for Laurie, nearly equivalent to five customers for workload, but she was always happy to support us and to give us encouragement and hope that we would find what we wanted. This eventually happened. We found a beautiful, charming apartment that matches our criteria and budget.
