We are from the lower mainland and found Mitch through this web-site. He had great reviews and we thought that he would work hard to help us find a place. We were right! From the moment that we contacted him he was responsive and listened to us. We talked on the phone and told him our criteria. He arranged for a full day of viewings for us as we came over on the ferry for the day. While we reviewed places he was honest about the good and bad he saw in each of the houses. He did not try and sell us something that would not be in our best interest. This was most apparent when it came to making our offer on a place that we liked. He encouraged us not to over-bid (this was during an extremely white hot market) or to pay more than he thought it was worth based on recent sales. We really appreciated this no-pressure approach. He was knowledgeable about the neighbourhoods and once we were back home, he was great at supporting us in our decision to make an offer via phone and email. He always had time for our many questions. He got our offer in on time despite our hesitancy and slow decision-making. We did not get that house - our offer was too low when compared to the winner. However, we felt good about that, as we did not want to over-pay. The competitiveness of the current market has made us want to wait and purchase something when things cool down. I told this to Mitch after much work on his part and he was completely understanding - he told us that "these things happen in this business." I really appreciated this response - he was not negative or annoyed at the loss of a potential sale. He just told us that if we changed our mind in the future that he would love to continue to help us out.
