Simmi Gaind

I had a highly disappointing experience with Simmi Gaind, a real estate agent from Homelife Landmark Realty. I hired her to represent me in the sale of my property, but unfortunately, she became completely disengaged midway through the process. When Simmi excluded herself from supporting me, she also verbally attacked my partner, who has a separate claim related to another real estate proceeding. This only added to the emotional strain and lack of professionalism we experienced during an already stressful transaction. I’ve bought and sold six properties in 22 years and have never had an experience like this. All my previous agents walked me through every step of the process and provided a number of amenities and services, including customized printable comparables to give me a competitive edge. Simmi’s lack of involvement and failure to offer any support to see me through this sale were completely unlike any of my prior experiences. Despite multiple attempts to reach out for support, neither Simmi nor the brokerage provided any meaningful help during this crucial time. I felt completely abandoned during one of the most stressful transactions of my life. I would not recommend Simmi or this brokerage based on my experience. - Bill Bazinet

Working with Simmi Gaind was one of the most frustrating and costly experiences I’ve had in real estate. In my view, she did not provide the level of expertise, clarity, or accountability that clients should expect when making such important financial decisions. I was given advice that was not only incomplete but, in some cases, incorrect—leading to critical missteps. As a result, I ended up in an extremely difficult position: at risk of losing the property, my deposit, and facing potential legal consequences from the builder. These were outcomes that could have been avoided with proper guidance and care. I’ve chosen not to go into every detail publicly, as I’m now in the process of filing a formal complaint with the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO). I believe this situation raises serious concerns about professional conduct and ethics. I would urge others to be extremely cautious before working with Simmi Gaind. Real estate is likely the biggest financial decision and debt most people will ever take on. Sound advice and honest, qualified support should be the baseline—not the exception. - Ruth Carvalho
