Tara Hearn was a crucial part of our search to find our dream home in Victoria. We had a long list of characteristics we were looking for in a house which added to the challenge especially looking during a period of historically low inventory. Instead of trying to have us reduce our list of requirements Tara embraced our search criteria and worked tirelessly to find us our home. It wasn't easy because we were expecting a lot but Tara worked with us every step of the way and understood exactly what we wanted. Tara was always extremely patient with us and kept us up to date on new properties coming on the market that she knew would suit us. She has extensive local knowledge and a great sense of the market, and as buyers from out of town, we relied heavily on this expertise for neighbourhood information, demographics, ease of shopping, travel distances, etc. When it came to securing the home we eventually fell in love with, her input on how to position our offer was invaluable. We were happy to defer to her judgement and expertise on the negotiations because she is so good at the whole process from initial offer, to countering to closing. It took some back and forth with the listing agent to get an accepted offer, but Tara did it for us with calmness and finesse and we were over the moon! We also benefited from her considerable knowledge about renovations and structural changes when viewing properties that would have needed considerable upgrades. She also has an excellent design sense which has been helpful to us. We have worked closely with real estate agents numerous times in the past but no one has come close to Tara's level of expertise, knowledge, professionalism and personal warmth. "Our" Tara, was professional, kind, personable, cheerful, and "on top" of new listings as we searched for our first ever home purchase. I had the feeling that Tara REALLY cared whether or not we found our perfect home or not.
