TJ wildly exceeded our expectations - to say he went above and beyond doesn't even come close to expressing just how much he did for us. As a first-time buyer, I wasn't entirely sure what I was looking for in the beginning - we saw a quite a few places before landing on THE one - but TJ took the time to educate us, get to know us and fully understand our specific needs. From wrangling quotes, to climbing on roofs, I truly can't imagine anyone else going to such great lengths to ensure their client both has the best experience possible and gets the best information available.  He leaves no stone unturned and does far, far more than what's asked of him (and frankly, far more than what any reasonable human could even expect!). With a background in construction, he also spots flaws and  offers countless ideas on how to improve upon what's there - so he sees potential, but he also tells you if and when you can do better. Beyond all that, TJ is a confident, capable negotiator, is supremely organized,  extremely communicative, and weathers any challenges (we ran into a few) with ease. I had the pleasure of working with TJ Dumonceaux for my first home purchase. Before working with TJ, I had worked with several realtors at different agencies in Kelowna, and had been looking at the market for a while. None of them were able to really help me, or seemed to really care about me and my needs. My first interaction with TJ was amazing, he had a great presentation outlining how he was different from other realtors, for this reason I decided to give TJ a shot. From here on out, he continued to provide excellent service through market education, by continuously providing me with listing that fit my needs, and checking in on me every so often. At no point did I feel pressured, he was genuinely helping me and genuinely is a great guy. Eventually, we were able to find a place and he got us a viewing before someone else was going to view this same unit (units in this building were flipping fast and we didn't want to miss this great opportunity). TJ was recommended to us as an exceptionally client focused agent who was well informed of the local market. As new buyers coming in from Toronto we were having to rely on a resident agent who could effectively work with us remotely. As it turned out with COVID-19 near its peak at our closing, working remotely and under new protocols was a necessity. There was considerable stress around both the buying and selling transactions, and even physically moving out to BC. I recently acquired a residential property in Lake Country through a family members passing. I asked a few locals for referals of real estate agents and one person told me about Advantage West Realty and named TJ Dumonceaux as an agent. I contacted TJ and that same morning he met me at the residence. We thoroughly discussed the potential and both agrees on a listing price with a covid19 handshake. Less than a week an offer and an agreement were signed. From day one I felt like I was dealing with a close friend rather than a real estate agent. Me being 950 kms. away and completely computer illiterate, TJ and his associates walked me through signing documents and agreements by e-mail. (Not totally stress free on my part and probably there's either). TJ had kept me informed of every transaction no matter how minor it was.
