Honestly couldn't recommend Grace enough. she's so great! Our journey with her started when we were still living in Montreal, QC. She got us set up on her platform so we could browse properties from a distance and was always readily available to answer our questions (and we had so many). She was attentive and listened to our needs and wants for finding a new home. She has great insight to the areas and just Nanaimo in general. Grace gave us really good recommendations for where we should be looking as we were moving with a baby and our pets.... to an area we were very unfamiliar with. She even visited properties for us and video chatted with us during the visits so we could "visit" too. She was honest and gave her feedback when we asked and needed it. She was so so patient with us and we never felt pressured or pushed into a decision. It took us a while to find our home, but Grace stayed with us every step of the way with her unwavering optimism and enthusiasm. Not only was Grace super helpful during our journey, but she's such a kind hearted person. Professional, organized, loyal, and trustworthy are words that describe our experience with Grace. She graciously helped guide us (two FTHB) through what is/was a very challenging and stressful market, to buying our dream home only months after we began. We relocated from Alberta, and were unfamiliar with BC real estate. Grace was knowledgeable, personable, and helped us navigate the challenging Nanaimo area real estate market. It took over 6 months for us to find a home in our budget in this market. During that time, we enjoyed viewing homes with her and never felt pressured to purchase anything. She truly cared about us and kept reassuring us that this is a huge financial decision and that she wants us to be happy. And boy, did we have to see a number of homes. Coming from Alberta, who knew that sidewalks, furnaces, and basements were a luxury? Or that there’s potentially oil tanks buried under the ground? Or that there’s a land transfer tax and other taxes to consider when purchasing a home? During that time she provided advice on what areas are desirable, and what to look for inside homes (i.e. polyb plumbing). She looked out for us through every step of the buying process! It is with great pleasure that I write this review for Grace Easthom of Royal LePage. We recently moved back to BC from Ontario and were very wary about the real estate market here. We were determined to take a wait and see approach, hoping that prices would come down. At one point there came on the market a house in the area where we were renting that I was interested in viewing. Initiating this viewing is how I met Grace. I felt at ease and comfortable with her from the start as she is very bright, friendly, confident and positive. I was upfront that we were not ready to buy and wanted to hold off to see if prices would drop. Grace was totally respectful of our position and reassuringly let me know that when we were ready to pursue things further. At the same time she offered to connect me with a portal that would send listing information fitting our criteria to my email so that we could keep apprised of what was going on with the real estate market. This is what we did and after about 5 months we started looking for a new home seriously. Any question we had for Grace she promptly got back to us with an abundance of information. She arranged viewings to fit our schedule and was very interested in participating in really looking at each property and discussing the pros and cons with us. We felt so supported with Grace. When we came across the property that was for us Grace very professionally guided us through the process. She was there for us every step of the way and communicated with us regularly. We are new to the area and so it was especially helpful for us that Grace was able to refer us to reputable people, whom she has no affiliation with, such as a lawyer, home inspector, insurance broker, etc., necessary to the purchasing process. We have bought and sold a few homes over the years and our experience with Grace as our realtor exceeded all previous experiences.
