Marc was truly AMAZING with our purchase! He arrived at each showing with a printout of each property, but also included other pertinent details that are not otherwise included in a standard MLS listing. He guided us through each property with a clear intent to SHOW it to us, not SELL it to us - so he very candidly pointed out all of the features: good, bad, indifferent. Marc was also the perfect balance of aggressive and diplomatic when it came to working on our behalf - both leading into the sale, during the back-and-forth exchanges, and even well beyond the close of the sale when there were still a few items that needed to be sorted out. We are a military family who have moved all over Canada several times and have dealt with many realtors. Marc by far was the best realtor we have ever had. This time moving to Ottawa in such a hot sellers market was extremely challenging particularly because we were looking for a quick closing date. Marc helped us in the sale of our current home & is also representing us in the purchase of our new built, both in Stittsville area. Our situation was unique as the lead time for getting our new built was over a year. For peace of mind, we wanted to sell our existing home as soon as possible but for convenience sake give possession after moving into our new built. We found Marc after noticing his sign on two for sale properties in our area, which he sold in few days. We interviewed few agents, including Marc, & decided to seek his help as he stood out as a calm, open & honest individual with an impressive knowledge of the market. Marc is not one of those agents who will low ball your home value for a quick sale but takes time in really assessing your home condition & then recommending a fair value, even pushing the envelope. He recommended an overall approach for our unique situation & came to our home many times to advise us on preparing and staging. We luckily stumbled upon Marc when visiting an Open House. Upon first impression and in speaking with him, we both felt very at ease with his approach, marketing ideas etc. He knew that we weren't in a hurry to sell and/or purchase but that it was merely a thought at that time.. We agreed to have him send us listings and periodically, would ask if we wanted to update our search criteria. We did this for well over a year (showing great patience). We never felt pressure to purchase or list. We finally gave him a call and got things in motion. We went to MANY homes and could not find what we liked. We finally decided to purchase new with Mark's assistance. Than it came time to list.and Mark came to assist with staging etc. Quite happy we didn't need to go out and purchase items to show our home. He used our own furnishings. Our home went "Live" on a Wednesday, not accepting offers until Sunday at 7:00pm. The couple who bought our home came through that Friday so, in reality, Mark sold in it two days. Second highest sell in the area since 2016! Through Marc's marketing, our home was viewed over 5000 times! Got full price and our closing date. We had the opportunity to work with Marc to purchase a house in Nepean. We are a military family who moved from Manitoba to Ottawa and it was our first time moving to Ottawa. Marc was fantastic. Initially we did most of our work via email and phone. Marc was very quick to answer our questions and send us updates. Marc was able to send us new listings based on different search parameters from the various sections of the city we were looking in. These small personal touches greatly assisted us with understanding the Ottawa market. Once we arrived in Ottawa Marc dedicated a significant amount of time to show us around and show us the houses we were interested in. He was quick to pass on updates on homes before they were available on the MLS site. He gave us honest advice when we decided to put an offer on a house again helping us to understand the market and not to overpay for a home. Marc was with us during the home inspection, offering us insights on what we should discuss with the seller upon conclusion of the inspection. He moderated a meeting with us and the seller to ensure we had all of the right information we needed to confidently lift the restrictions in place when we made our offer. During the pre-closing walk through Marc again made sure all of the small details were taken care of and nothing was looked over.
