You’d be hard-pressed to find someone who loves Kelowna more than TJ - or is more knowledgeable or better connected within the city. It’s no surprise, considering his strong reputation, approachable personality, and the community around him, that he now leads one of the most successful real estate teams in Kelowna.

Hard work, relationship-building, and an entrepreneurial spirit have always been part of his DNA.

Born and raised in the Okanagan, and having moved 16 times before graduating high school in Kelowna, TJ developed a deep understanding of the city and its many neighbourhoods early on. He spent much of his time in high school working alongside his parents flipping houses and on construction sites, where he gained firsthand knowledge of how homes are built and renovate - experience that in hindsight, gave him a significant advantage, both personally and professionally, in identifying value, potential, and knowing when a property makes sense (and when it doesn’t).

After graduating, TJ played Junior A hockey for the Vernon Vipers before earning a full athletic scholarship to play NCAA Division I hockey in Boston. He finished his university career at the University of Calgary, where he studied economics and developed a strong foundation in business.

Knowing real estate was the long-term path, TJ made a deliberate move to pursue it, spending two years working 16-hour days on a drilling rig up north to save for his real estate license while beginning to build his own investment portfolio. He officially began his real estate career in 2019, and his background in construction and investing quickly set him apart. What started as a small client base has grown steadily through referrals and repeat business, alongside the continued expansion of his own real estate portfolio.

Today, TJ is a founding partner of the TJ & STEPH Real Estate Group, where he’s been recognized nationally—both individually and as part of the team—as one of the top-performing Realtors in the country. He has earned Top 35 Under 35 – Royal LePage Canada honours for five consecutive years (2021–2025), ranked in the Top 1% nationwide (2023–2025), and in 2024, led the #1 team at Royal LePage Kelowna. The team is built on a client-first approach, with a strong focus on education, long-term relationships, and surrounding clients with a trusted network of professionals.

While real estate is a major focus, TJ and his wife, Cassandra, live a highly active Okanagan lifestyle and take full advantage of everything the region has to offer. In the summer, you’ll find them golfing at the Kelowna Golf & Country Club, on their road bikes, or out exploring the backcountry in their side-by-side.

Anyone who knows TJ will tell you he has one speed - 100%. That mindset naturally draws him to anything with an engine and backcountry terrain, often pushing things a little further than most (something his wife would say keeps her heart rate higher than any workout.) In the winter, that carries over to the mountains of Revelstoke, where he spends his time snowmobiling through some of the most insane backdrops you can imagine.

Ask TJ what he enjoys most about real estate, and he’ll tell you it’s helping people navigate one of the most important and exciting decisions of their lives. He also finds it especially rewarding to work with investors - educating them on the long-term potential of real estate as a wealth-building tool.
